Growing up in Woods Cross Utah, Lorelai started ballet at the age of 2 years old at recreational studio Bountiful School of Ballet, where she would graduate from 16 years later. She grew up doing mainly ballet, while also training in some jazz. She went on to be a part of school programs such as Legacy Preparatory Academy’s Dance Company and Ballroom Team, as well as president of Woods Cross High School’s Dance Company and member of their Theater Department. Not only was Lorelai just a dancer growing up, but she was also an all-star competitive cheerleader for 12 years, coached by her mom. Lorelai went on to graduate with a Bachelor of Performing Arts in Dance Performance with a Minor in History from Oklahoma City University.

Where it all started…

Passion for choreography:

Throughout her time at OCU Lorelai has had the opportunity to choreograph for Project 21-Music for the 21st Century. Through this experience she got to work with a student composer choreographing to an original piece of music. She also got to collaborate with another OCU student, to choreograph The Drowsy Chaperone for the musical theater department. She then had the opportunity to choreograph for the Student Choreography show, bringing her own artistic vision to life. Lorelai then had the opportunity to be assistant to Vincent Sandoval in the opera The Merry Widow.

“The vulnerability that comes with being an artist and a performer is something that is so beautiful. Art is so important and keeping dance as an artform alive and breathing is so important. I love everything about it, and can’t wait to keep sharing the passion I have for dance.”
